Course Description from Catalog

EE609. Information Engineering Software. Software and software design issues for information engineering. Prerequisite: Graduate status in Electrical and Computer Engineering, EE 605, and EE 607

Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is continue developing software skills in the areas of object oriented design, object oriented implementation, and user interface design. The course also has a team work component and a discussion of ethics as it relates to software and its development.

Quizzes

There will be many computer-based, Internet-accesible multiple-choice quizes to allow to reinforce the material in the chapters. These must all be satisfactorily (>80%) completed by the end of the course. It is possible to retake the quizzes after additional review.

Major Assignments

Projects will be (are) linked to the appropriate location against the syllabus on the web and any updates to these assignments will be made only to the web copy and announced in the class discussion system. Teams will be formed for the duration of the course to work together on the projects (p1, p3, p4). Team members will be surveyed regarding their own and team members contribution to the effort and the results of the survey will be a portion of the individual grade on the project.
