Assessment Process for the Employer Survey

  1. The Office of the Dean, on a periodic basis, will solicit employer responses to a survey using this Assessment Form.
  2. The Assessment Forms received from the employers will be collected by the Office of the Dean and transmitted to a designated individual or committee of the Faculty of the School of Engineering.
  3. The designated individual or committee will (a) review responses, (b) tabulate responses, and (c) transmit, in writing, the findings of the survey to the dean and Department Chairs.
  4. The Department Chair will refer each program-related problem to either an individual faculty member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty or an appropriate committee of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty or the entire Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty with a date-specific deadline by which an attempt is to be made to resolve the problem.
  5. By the assigned deadline, the individual or body to which a problem is assigned will be responsible for issuing a report to the Department Chair relative to the attempted resolution of the problem.

Assessment Metric for the Employer Survey

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty will establish target numerical metrics for this Assessment Form.
